The LP3963ES-3.3/NOPB is a 3.3V fixed output fast ultra-low-dropout (LDO) Linear Regulator operate from a 2.5 to 7V input supply. This device respond very fast to step changes in load which makes them suitable for low voltage microprocessor applications. The device is developed on a CMOS process which allows low quiescent current operation independent of output load current. This CMOS process also allows the device to operate under extremely low-dropout (LDO) conditions. The dropout voltage is typically 80mV at 300mA load current and 800mV at 3A load current.

This topology is stable using output capacitors with low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and even allows operation without a capacitor. The device also provides high reverse blockage (low reverse current) and ground pin current that is nearly constant over all values of output current. The device uses an advanced BiCMOS process to yield high precision while delivering very low-dropout (LDO) voltages and low ground pin current.
